Bath, the City of Ships, welcomed Renys in 1973. This beautiful coastal city in Sagadahoc County is also known as one of the best small cities in America, and is part of Main Street America.
Most of Bath, Maine, was settled by travelers from Bath, England, beginning in the early 1600s. By the mid-nineteenth century, Bath had become the nation’s fifth largest seaport! Today, the city is still a shipbuilding hub, and the long time home to Bath Iron Works. Bath was also known for lumber, iron, brass, and even the ice trade in years past!
